Bed Bug Treatment

A bed bug treatment program is a comprehensive plan for eliminating bed bug infestations in a home or building. Bed bugs are small, reddish-brown insects that feed on the blood of humans and animals and can be difficult to eradicate once they have established a presence in your home.

Here are the steps involved in a bed bug treatment program:

  1. Inspection: A trained pest control technician will conduct a thorough inspection of the property to identify the extent of the bed bug infestation and locate all areas where bed bugs are present. In accordance with AB 551.  IF bedbugs are found, you will receive thorough documentation of findings, recommendations, along with photos and service options along with pricing.

  2. Preparation: Prior to treatment, you will need to prepare your home by removing clutter, washing and drying all linens and clothing, and vacuuming thoroughly. The technician may provide additional instructions on how to prepare your home depending on the service type you choose.

  3. Treatment: The technician will use a variety of methods to eliminate bed bugs, including applying insecticides, using heat treatments, and using steam treatments. The treatment method used will depend on the severity of the infestation and the specific circumstances of your home or building.

  4. Follow-up: The technician will schedule follow-up visits to monitor the success of the treatment and apply additional treatments if necessary.

It's important to work with a California licensed pest control professional who has experience in treating bed bug infestations, as bed bugs are highly resilient and can be difficult to eliminate without proper treatment. Additionally, it's important to take steps to prevent future bed bug problems by inspecting secondhand furniture before bringing it into your home, avoiding placing luggage on the floor of hotels or other travel accommodations, and regularly inspecting your home for signs of bed bug activity.
